Privacy policy
Effective: October 28, 2026
Who we are
- SIRF Camera (package one.sirf.camera) is published by SIRF (sirf.one). Contact: hello@sirf.one.
- The app has no sign-in, no ads and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
What the app accesses, and why
- Camera: to take photos, videos and scans.
- Microphone: only to record sound with videos. If you refuse it, videos are recorded without sound.
- Location (precise and approximate): only if you allow it, to stamp GPS position, altitude and accuracy on proof photos and write it into the photo's EXIF data.
- Photos and media: to save your captures to the SIRF Camera folder in your gallery and show them in the in-app gallery.
- Internet and network state: used only for the optional sync described below.
What is stored, and where
- Photos, videos and their proof records (time, place, project name, inspector name you enter, SHA-256 fingerprint) are stored on your phone.
- Settings, including any upload address and access token you enter, are stored in the app's private storage on your phone.
- SIRF does not run a server for this app and does not receive your photos, location or proof records.
Optional sync to your own server
- Sync is off until you enter an HTTPS upload address in Settings. The app refuses addresses that are not HTTPS.
- When it is on, the app sends proof photos (including their visible stamp and EXIF location data) with the capture time, project, inspector name and fingerprint to the address you entered, with the access token you entered.
- That server is run by you or your organisation, not by SIRF. Its owner decides how the data is kept and used.
On-device recognition
- Text, face and barcode recognition use Google ML Kit models bundled in the app and run on the phone; the images are not sent for recognition.
- Google's ML Kit may send basic diagnostic and usage information about the API (not your images) to Google. See Google's ML Kit terms for details.
Sharing, retention and deletion
- Nothing is shared unless you share a photo yourself or turn on sync to your own server.
- You can delete photos in the app or your gallery at any time. Uninstalling the app removes its settings and proof records; photos already saved to your gallery stay there until you delete them.
- The app is not directed at children.
Changes
- If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date below.
