How to design a student ID card
- Choose portrait or landscape and a theme colour.
- Enter institute name, student name, student ID and issue date. Add other fields when relevant.
- Optionally upload a photo, institute logo or signature as JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB and 16 megapixels each.
- Review the preview, then download PNG or PDF. Open the exported file and check text, images, dimensions and print settings.
Student card export questions
What is the PDF page size?
Landscape export uses an 85.6 × 54 mm page; portrait swaps those dimensions. The PDF contains a raster image of the card. Printing software and printers can scale the result, so check actual size and printer margins before production.
Are student details or images sent to a server?
The editor and export code process selected details and images on your device. There is no card-generation notification upload or automatic account storage. Refreshing, leaving or resetting the editor clears its current data.
Does this issue a valid institutional ID or a barcode?
The tool creates a card design. It does not verify enrolment or issue credentials, and this version does not generate a scannable barcode. Institutions control approval, issuance and verification.
