Image Enlarger & Sharpener
Enlarge a still image 2×, 3× or 4× with the existing Lanczos resizing and sharpening engine. Compare before and after, zoom in, and download PNG, JPEG or WebP. This is conventional image processing, without AI detail reconstruction or face restoration.

Enlarge and compare an image
- Choose a still PNG, JPEG or WebP to preview locally. Select 2×, 3× or 4× enlargement, a processing mode and output format.
- Review the output dimensions and confirm SIRF server processing before uploading. Output is limited to 16 megapixels and 8192 pixels per side.
- Compare before and after using the divider and zoom, then download the enlarged image. Changing inputs clears the previous result.
Image enlargement questions
Is this AI upscaling or face restoration?
No. The existing engine uses Pillow Lanczos resizing and conventional filters. Standard mode adds sharpening; photo mode adds sharpening and a small contrast adjustment; artwork mode enhances edges. It cannot reconstruct missing original detail or guarantee a clearer face.
Where is my image processed?
The selected image is previewed locally. Upload starts only when you confirm processing and choose Enlarge image. SIRF processes it in temporary private files and removes those files after the request. Responses are private and not cached. No external AI provider receives the image.
What happens to transparency, rotation and metadata?
PNG and WebP can retain transparency. JPEG flattens it onto white. The engine applies EXIF orientation before resizing and omits source metadata, including EXIF and ICC profiles. Omitting a colour profile can affect appearance; review the downloaded image.
Can I upload animated or very large images?
Only still PNG, JPEG and WebP files up to 10 MB are accepted. Animated, malformed and oversized images are rejected. Processing has time and memory bounds; a smaller image or scale may be needed.
