Step-by-Step Execution Sequence

Follow these phases sequentially. All package disables are 100% reversible.

Phase 1: Preparation

Unlock Developer Options & Wireless ADB on TV

On your TV, open Settings → Device Preferences → About. Press OK on 'Build' 7 times until you are declared a developer. Go back, enter Developer options, and toggle 'USB debugging' (and 'Network debugging') to ON.

Safety Notice: Certain boxes (like Xiaomi Mi Box S) temporarily suspend USB port power while debugging is on. USB power restores as soon as you toggle debugging off.

Phase 2: Handshake

Connect AI Assistant or Terminal via Local Wi-Fi

Find your TV's local IP address under Network Settings (e.g. 192.168.1.150). In your computer terminal or Claude Code prompt, connect to port 5555 and accept the RSA prompt on your TV screen.

Phase 3: Safety Net

Phase 6: Security Close

Remote Button Verification & Closing Port 5555

Test remote buttons (Netflix, YouTube, Inputs). Once satisfied, turn OFF USB debugging in TV Settings to keep port 5555 closed against network unauthorized access.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this void my smart TV warranty?

No. This process requires zero root access, does not unlock the bootloader, and deletes no system files. Running restore.sh or a factory reset immediately restores the TV to 100% factory original state.

Can I revert back to the stock launcher?

Yes, at any time. Connect via ADB and run: adb shell pm enable com.google.android.tvlauncher && adb shell cmd package set-home-activity com.google.android.tvlauncher/.MainActivity.

Does this work on Fire TV?

On Amazon Fire TV, only the debloat half works. Fire OS actively prohibits third-party default launcher intent takeover.
